 VMI WH VMI Maintaining the right stock levels of the thousands of items  in the Engineering Stores is the essence of good Facilities Management.  Obsolescence, unpredictable usage rates and heavy administration all combine to create a large overhead and low utilisation. They usually come under the collective heading of MRO items  i.e. products used in Maintenance, Repair and Operations
The cost  of acquiring MRO products, storage and delivery to the using department will invariably be greater than the purchase cost.
