Applications involved in palletising include

• Wrapping – A thin clear multilayer polymer film is applied in overlapping wraps around the boxes.The film is stretched either manually or by machine as it is applied. Provides a water and damage resistant surface and consolidates several items into one securely wrapped consignment. The use of pre-stretched films takes considerably less effort to complete.

• Stabilising – Either metal or semi-rigid plastic banding applied horizontally as well as vertically to hold and reinforce. Mechanical tools used to apply tension and crimp the metal seal.

• Protecting- additional protection can be achieved with Pallet Covers – a continuous tube of of medium duty PE film sized to slip over the outside.  The film may be left loose or heat shrunk around the pallet to produce a very tough, impermeable and tamper resistant barrier.
