Structural
For Outstanding Performance – Big or Small |

Where extreme temperatures, weathers, vibrations or mis-match surfaces exist, our selection of structural adhesives sticks to them all. Performance levels are so great that the adhesives are even stronger than the materials themselves being bonded. |
| The 3M range consists mainly of 2-part kits in pastes or liquids for either mixing manually or with the aid of dispensing equipment to provide more accuracy. We supply specialist adhesives which self-clamp reducing the production process and component cure.
There are 3 important base types available!
One-Part Structurals are readily available including the necessary primers. Engineering structural kits save time because you only need to coat one surface with the primer, and the other with your chosen adhesive, and bring together. Scotch-Weld EPX is the simple way to mix and dispense 2-part adhesives. There’s no need to measure by volume or weigh. Just twist the nozzle onto the cartridge, slip into the applicator bracket and you’re ready to go. No mixing, no fuss and no errors! It’s the full proof way in achieving excellent bonds on many materials from wood and plastics to glass and metals. It’s designed for textured surfaces or where bulk re-inforcing needs of substrates are essential. You’ll achieve suitable consistencies to enable the task in hand. Material clamping may be necessary during the curing process at room temperatures. Scotch-Weld Jet Weld Reactive requires a special applicator that heats and dispenses the polyurethane adhesive. Although a ONE-PART product, it gives you the cohesive strengths of 2-part solutions but irradicates the need to clamp or jig components together. You get complete latitude when combining substrates together because you can adjust and position before final compression and assembly. Once bonded, you just leave it to one side and the self-clamping feature ‘kicks in’ drawing the surfaces together and cures. |
