The range overview:-
Nylon still represents one of the best performing products especially in Aerospace and Composite markest. High temperature resistant prevents silicone contamination in paint shop environments and in autoclaving too.
Polyimide with silicone adhesive ideal for printed circuit boards eliminating degradation and withstanding high temperatures.
Polyester is particularly mechanically strong with tensile and abrasion resistance. Ideal for splicing operations and protecting substrates such as stainless steel after long bake cycles.
PTFE (Teflon) / UHMW-PE fall into the Slick surface category. They suit applications where easy release is fundamental such as hot blade welding. Their low friction withstands wear and chemicals, solvents or salt attack. High temperature without shrinkage as well.
Vinyl & Polyethylenes have aggresive adhesives but can remove cleanly from many surfaces. They’re conformable and flexible and suit many jobs colour coding to fine line painting.
