Introducing the Permabond® TA4605:

Permabond TA4605 is a two-part, 1:1 toughened acrylic adhesive specially developed to bond low surface energy plastic such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). A key benefit of this adhesive for such substrates is that no surface treatment of the plastics is required prior to bonding. This surface treatment tends to be costly and time-consuming, and avoiding it can both speed up production time and save costs.

In addition to PP and PE bonding, TA4605 is highly suited to bonding these plastics to other substrates such as metals and composite materials. It is also effective at bonding these substrates without the presence of untreated polyolefins, for example bonding metal to composite materials. This makes TA4605 a highly versatile adhesive and definitely one to have on hand!

Why Choose The Permabond® TA4605?

Permabond TA4605 has a 1:1, easy to mix ratio that is easy to apply either manually or via dispensing equipment. It has great impact strength as well as chemical resistance, and a fixture time of between 5 and 10 minutes, allowing for accurate alignment of parts before bonding. It has a fast cure at room temperature, achieving a working strength in just 2-4 hours.
